The fun page with odds and sods, works in progress and a little too much personality.
We left the house as a bat and a goat.... at some point we merged and casually sauntered up from the underworld dancing the Charleston.

Collaboration Station

David Besplug makes incredible line drawings freehand with no rulers or compasses. I was honoured to be invited to collaborate on this piece inspired by "The Battle of Evermore" by Led Zepplin. The only song they ever recorded with a guest vocalist, Sandy Denny, and this is the only collaboration in David's collection of fabulous colouring books. He masterfully crafted the frame and I the middle xx 2020
Burlesque
This was the epitome of my creative control-freakness. I designed and sewed my costume, choreographed and danced to 'Quakin' Bones' a song that we wrote and recorded for this act. 2019

Cumberland Pipe Organ Project 2020, spear headed by the Cucumber Queen, Katheryn Petersen. I made this bat for the short video "January" earlier this year but it really found its home during this fabulous improv music pipe organ show Katheryn organized and put on.

Processes

Early 2020 I wanted to work on a series with similar threads that work as a whole but that also stand alone as individuals. When I got prints made I laid them out in the studio and they looked like a giant feminine power quilt. I'd love to plaster the side of a building in these one day.
Woodstove Festival 2019

I have an affinity to performing to Queen. When I was a kid in ballet I did my solo to "The show must go on" and a jazz solo to "Killer Queen". Nothing much has changed these days with my spider rendition of "Body Language". I also had the great honour of being Mothra in a piece by Cathy Stoyko, it was life changing to be worshiped as a moth queen. A huge thank you to the Wood Stove Festival for always letting us get wild with our performances xx
